WESTMORELAND MAN CHARGED FOR STABBING MURDER
Detectives assigned to the Westmoreland Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) have charged 31-year-old Sadesie Johnson, otherwise called ‘TJ’, of White Hall, Negril, Westmoreland, with Murder following an incident in the parish on Saturday, March 15.
Dead is 25-year-old Dorrel Thomas, a bartender of White Hall Avenue, in the parish.
Reports from the police are that at about 12:50a.m., Thomas and Johnson were at an establishment when a dispute developed between the two. During the altercation, Johnson used a knife to stab Thomas to the right side of his chest. Thomas collapsed and fell to the ground. A team of police in the area quickly responded and apprehended Johnson, who was armed with a kitchen knife with what appeared to be a blood stain. Thomas was rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injury whilst undergoing treatment, and Johnson was taken into custody.
On Wednesday, March 26, Johnson was formally charged for the above-mentioned offence.
His court date is being finalised.
