WESTMORELAND MAN CHARGED WITH ARSON
Twenty-five-year-old Andre Taylor, otherwise called ‘Lippy,’ of Seaton Crescent, Savanna-La-Mar, Westmoreland, has been charged with Arson following an incident in his community on Thursday, July 25.
Reports indicate that at about 1:15 p.m., Taylor was seen running from a house that was engulfed in flames. The police and the fire department were alerted. Following cooling down operations, the house and its contents were estimated at six million JMD in damage.
On Thursday, July 24, 2025, Taylor was taken into custody during a targeted operation at his home based on an eyewitness statement. He was subsequently charged on Monday, July 28, 2025, for the offence.
His court date is being finalised.
