The Manchester Police have charged a woman with Introducing Contraband to a Police Lockup following her attempt to smuggle contraband into the Christiana Police Lockup on Sunday, February 16.
She is 40-year-old Monique Palmer, of Ballynure district in Manchester.
Reports from the Police are that at about 1:15 p.m., during the designated visiting hours for prisoners, Palmer was visiting her son who is currently in custody. She presented several items to the police, during a search of the items ganja, tobacco leave (grabba), and an earphone were found concealed in slices of bread.
She was then arrested and subsequently charged.
Her court date is being finalized.
