Westmoreland Man Charged Following Domestic Dispute

WESTMORELAND MAN CHARGED FOLLOWING DOMESTIC DISPUTE
Sleuths assigned to the Westmoreland Policing Division have arrested and charged 49-year-old Brion Goodall, otherwise called ‘Max,’ a welder of Strathbogie District, Westmoreland, with Wounding with Intent following an incident at his home on Sunday, August 9.
Reports are that at about 3:00 p.m., Goodall and a relative were allegedly involved in an argument concerning the visit of the relative’s friend to their home. The dispute reportedly escalated into a physical altercation, during which Goodall allegedly used a machete to inflict chop wounds to the relative’s head and neck.
The complainant subsequently collapsed along the roadway and was transported to the hospital, where he was treated and admitted in serious but stable condition.
A report was made to the police, and the scene was visited and processed.
Goodall later turned himself in at the Savanna-la-Mar Police Station. He was subsequently charged after being implicated in the complainant’s statement.
His court date is being finalised.
