KINGSTON MAN CHARGED WITH MURDER
Twenty-nine-year-old Daniele Powell of Old Hope Road, Kingston 6, has been charged with Murder following the shooting death of a man in the Standpipe district, Kingston 6, on Tuesday, July 15.
Dead is 44-year-old Peter Lyndsay, otherwise called ’Gregory’, of Standpipe district, Kingston 6.
Reports from the Half Way Tree Police are that both men, who are relatives, have been in a long-standing feud. At about 10:45a.m., on the date mentioned above, during an argument between the two, Powell retrieved a firearm and opened gunfire at Lyndsay. When the shooting subsided, Lyndsay was seen nursing gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
On Tuesday, August 19, Powell turned himself in to the police, in the company of his attorney. He was then charged after a warrant was executed on him.
His court date is being finalised
