Police Renew Appeal for Missing Teen

The JCF is renewing its appeal to anyone who may have information that can lead to the safe return of Thresa Smith to her family, to call the Harbour View Police at 876- 928-6001, Crime Stop at 311, Police 119 emergency number, or the nearest Police Station.

Fourteen-year-old Thresa Smith of Bayshore Park, Kingston 17, has been missing since Monday, March 23. She is of brown complexion, slim build and is about 165 centimetres (5 feet 5 inches) tall.

Thresa was last seen at home about 10:15 a.m., wearing blue jeans and brown slippers. She was carrying a red handbag. All efforts to locate her have proven futile.

Jasmine Deen suspect now in custody

The person of interest in the case of missing University of the West Indies student, Jasmine Deen, is now in police custody. He was picked up in the corporate area last night.

Woman Charged with Murder in Trelawny

Detectives assigned to the Trelawny Police Division charged 33-year-old Tennisha Miller of Carey Park, Trelawny with the murder of 38-year-old Gregory Geddes of Reserve district in the parish committed on Tuesday, December 17.

Reports are that about 8:45 p.m., Geddes was at a bar when an argument developed between him and Miller. A knife was brought into play and was used to stab Geddes. The Police were summoned and Geddes was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Miller was later interviewed and subsequently charged.

Her court date will be announced at a later date.
