A team of officers assigned to the Westmoreland Police Division seized one .38 revolver containing six .38 rounds of ammunition during an operation on Nonpariel Road in Negril, Westmoreland on Thursday, December 01. One woman was taken into custody in custody in relation to this seizure.
Reports from the Savanna-la-Mar Police are that about 10:00 p.m., lawmen were in the area when a premises that was occupied by the woman was searched. During the search, the illegal firearm was found on a bed inside a room. She was subsequently taken into custody, however, her identity is being withheld pending further investigation.
