A foreign national who was taken into custody following a drug seizure at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, St. James on Saturday, December 04 has been formally charged.
She is 22-year-old Cameryn Harris-Love of North Carolina, United States of America (USA).
Reports are that about 12:00 p.m., Harris-Love was about to board a flight to Charlotte, USA when the Narcotics Police searched her luggage and found a secret compartment that contained a white substance resembling cocaine. She was taken into custody and the drug seized.
The weight of the drug seized is approximately 4.25 pounds and it has an estimated street value of USD$96,500.00.
Harris-Love was subsequently charged with the offences of:
-Possession of Cocaine
-Dealing in Cocaine
-Conspiracy to Export Cocaine
-Attempting to Export Cocaine
She is scheduled to appear before the St. James Parish Court on Friday December 10, 2021.
