Minor Among Five Charged for Illegal Gun

Detectives assigned to the Hunt’s Bay Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) have charged five persons, including a minor, in connection with the seizure of a 9mm Pistol and eleven rounds of ammunition on St. Joseph Road, Kingston 13 on Wednesday, November 3.

 

Charged with Illgeal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition are:

·                        Jervaine Roberts, 25, of St. Joseph Road, Kingston 13

·                        Sylvester Mclean, 27, of Crescent Road, Kingston 13

·                         Nicholas Williams, 26-year-old chef of St. Joseph Road, Kingston 13

·                         Phillip Haughton, 29, of Crescent Road, Kingston 13

·                         A minor

 

Reports are that a police team was on patrol in the community when they heard noises coming from a property. The area was searched and a plastic bag containing a firearm with a magazine containing eleven 9mm cartridges was found. All the occupants of the premises were subsequently taken into custody for questioning and were later charged on Saturday, November 4.

 

Their court dates are not yet finalised.
