Gun-Toting Phone Thief Busted in St. James

Thirty-three-year-old Marvin Gordon, otherwise called ‘Blacks’, a mason of Rosemount, Linstead in St. Catherine and Market Street, Falmouth in Trelawny has been charged following an incident along Harbour Street in St. James on Monday, June 17.

He has been charged with Robbery with Aggravation and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon.

Reports from the Barnett Street Police are that about 6:33 a.m., a teen was walking along Harbour Street when he saw Gordon sitting along the sidewalk. Gordon then called the teen over and allegedly brandished a firearm, threatening the teen to hand over his belongings. The teen, in fear of his life, handed over his iPhone 13 cellular phone valued at US$600.00 to Gordon.

The teen then left the scene and made a report to the police. Gordon was apprehended and subsequently charged on Monday, June 17. His court date is being finalised.
