Twenty-nine-year-old Jason Cameron of Beresford Street, Kingston 12 has been arrested and charged with Wounding with Intent, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, and Unauthorized Possession of Ammunition following an incident on Rodney Street, Kingston 12, November 23, 2023.
Reports from the Denham Town Police are that about 10:24 p.m., the complainant was walking along the roadway when he was pounced upon by Cameron and another man armed with handguns. The complainant ran and was chased by the accused who opened gunfire at him; however, he managed to escape unharmed.
Investigations led to the arrest of Cameron. He was charged on January 8 after he was positively pointed out on an identification parade.
His court date is being finalized.
