On Sunday, April 12, police officers on duty at the National Carnival 2026 responded to reports of a group of men seen at the intersection of Lady Musgrave Road and Hope Road performing stunts on motorcycles. The police team attempted to accost the men, but they were blocked by the crowd and the men escaped. Following that incident, the video surfaced online and Patmore was identified as the main suspect.
As arrangements are being made for him to appear in court, head of the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch, Senior Superintendent Lloyd Darby, is reminding motorcyclists that they too; are bound by the rules of the Road Traffic Act and the Road Traffic Regulations. Since the start of the year the JCF has ramped up enforcement activities nationally, and over 1000 motorcycles have been seized, and just under 900 tickets for Not Wearing Helmets issued.
Senior Superintendent Darby is reminding all road users that safety must be paramount on the nation’s streets.
“We are on the road to keep you safe. Play your part and observe the rules of the road,” said Senior Superintendent Darby.
