Murder, Possession of Prohibited Weapon, Unauthorized Possession of Ammunition and Using a Firearm to Commit a Felony charges has been laid against 19-year-old Zwophawn Swaby, otherwise called ‘Noah’, a construction worker of Tavares Gardens, Kingston 11, following an incident in his community on Tuesday, October 8, 2024.

Dead is 26-year-old Jeniel Palmer otherwise called ‘Gal Tief’, also a construction worker of a Tavares Gardens address. Reports from the Hunts Bay Police are that at about 2:00 p.m., Palmer was visiting a relative when she was pounced upon by men armed with guns who the opened fire hitting her several times. The police were summoned and upon their arrival, Palmer was seen suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body. She was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Swaby was arrested during an operation and was charged on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, following an interview in the presence of his attorney. His court date is pending.
