A second man has been charged in connection with an attempted murder in Site District, Amity Hall, St. James, on Saturday, January 27.

He is 29-year-old labourer Desroy Martin, otherwise called  ‘ Killy Killy’ and ‘Lenny’, of Cottage Road, Welcome Hall, St. James.

Martin is charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Using a Firearm to Commit a Felony, Possession of a Firearm with Intent to Injure and Discharge of Firearm in any place.

Reports from the police are that about 8:45 p.m., Martin and his co-accused, Ricardo Edwards, who was charged earlier this month, drove to a shop in the area. Edwards brandished a firearm while walking towards a man who ran to escape injury. The man was later greeted by Martin and Edwards at his home, where they opened gunfire at him. The man escaped a second time and reported the incident to the police.

Martin was handed over to the police by his attorney on Thursday, February 8, and was later charged.
