Thirty-year-old Evon Morris otherwise called ‘Kemar’, a chef of Main Street, Ocho Rios, St. Ann was charged with murder following an incident on Saturday, January 13.

 

Morris was charged with the murder of 63-year-old Peter James otherwise called ‘Cappa’, a labourer of the above mentioned address.

 

Reports from the Ocho Rios Police are that 7:00 p.m., Morris and James had a dispute which became physical. It is alleged that James hit Morris with a hammer to the face and Morris pulled a knife and stabbed James several times to the upper body. Both injured persons were taken to the hospital where James was pronounced dead.

 

Morris was arrested and subsequently charged. A court date for him is being finalized.
