
Westmoreland Couple Charged Following The Stabbing Of A Woman
Eighteen-year-old Zara Williams and 21-year-old Rohan Ormsby, both of Grange Hill in Westmoreland, have been charged in connection with the stabbing of a woman in their community on Wednesday, April 29.
Reports from the Savanna-la-Mar police states that at about 8:30 p.m., the woman visited the home shared by Ormsby and Williams. During the visit, an argument allegedly developed and escalated into a physical altercation. It is reported that Ormsby restrained the woman while Williams used a knife to inflict multiple stab wounds.
Residents in the area assisted the injured woman to the hospital, where she was treated and admitted.
The incident was later reported to the police, and both suspects were taken into custody during a targeted operation. Following the recording of a statement that implicated them, they were formally charged with Wounding with Intent.
Their court dates are currently being arranged.
