48-Hour Curfew Imposed In Sections Of The Kingston Western Policing Division

A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in sections of the communities of Trench Town and Rose Town in the Kingston Western Division. The curfew will commence from 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, and will remain in effect until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 20.

The boundaries of the curfew are as follows:

South- Along Spanish Town Road from the intersection of Albert Street to Maxfield Avenue.

West- Along Maxfield Avenue from the intersection of Spanish Town Road to Gem Road.

North- Along Gem Road from the intersection of Maxfield Avenue to Greenwich Road vicinity the round-about at the tank.

East- Along Albert Street from the intersection of Spanish Town Road continuing northerly along an imaginary line to Asquith Street then left onto Seventh Street to Collie Smith Drive to the round-about at the tank.

During the hours of the curfew, persons within the boundaries of the curfew are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorised by the person in charge of enforcing the curfew.
