Sleuths assigned to the St. Ann Police Division arrested and charged a man following the murder of 61-year-old Thelma Nembhard and 68-year-old David Nembhard, otherwise called ‘Lion’, and the injury of a young woman in Woodstock district, St. Ann on Wednesday, September 15.
Charged with Murder, Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition and Wounding with Intent is 36-year-old Shamar Dinnald, of Belle Aire Meadows, Discovery Bay, St. Ann.
Reports are that about 5:50 p.m., all three persons were at home when armed men gained entry to their home and opened gunfire hitting them. They were taken to hospital where Thelma and David were pronounced dead and the young lady admitted in stable condition.
On September 18th, Dinnald was taken into custody. On October 1st, he was placed on an Identification Parade and was pointed out by the witness. He was subsequently charged.
His court date is being finalised.
