CONTRACTOR CHARGED WITH FRAUDULENT CONVERSION
Forty-six-year-old Richard Jones, a contractor also known as ‘Richie,’ of Airy Castle District, St. Thomas, has been charged with fraudulent conversion following an incident that occurred between Tuesday, August 19, 2025, and Monday, October 10, 2025.
Reports from the Morant Bay Police are that the complainant entrusted Jones with a total of JMD 950,000 to purchase a motor vehicle on her behalf. It is alleged that after acquiring the vehicle, Jones instead began using it for his own personal benefit. A report was filed, and Jones was subsequently identified and positively pointed out to the police.
He is scheduled to appear before the Morant Bay Parish Court on Wednesday, May 20.
