The Narcotics Police seized over 13 pounds of cocaine, 55 parcels of compressed ganja, and over a million dollars in cash at a dwelling house in the Warminster Community in St. Elizabeth.

Lawmen from the Narcotics Division conducted an anti-narcotics operation in the Warminster community in St. Elizabeth about 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at a dwelling house.

Upon their approach, one man ran from the house. The police, in carrying out a search of the premises, discovered a clandestine drug operation taking place at the premises and seized from the dwelling house 13.5 pounds of cocaine and two hundred and twenty-two pounds (222 lbs.) of compressed ganja, all packaged for export. Over a million Jamaican dollars in cash, as well as a motor vehicle found on the premises, were also seized.

The marijuana is valued at JA$2.2 million, and the cocaine is USD$186,000.00.

Detectives have named Cetron Smith of Warminster District, St. Elizabeth, as a person of interest. He is being asked to report to the Narcotics Area 3 office located at 38 Decarteret Road, Mandeville, Manchester, by 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024.
