The Police can confirm that Constable Noel Maitland has been arrested in connection with the investigation into the disappearance of Donna-lee Donaldson.

 

He was arrested by detectives from the Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigation Division (C-TOC) on Duke Street, Kingston on Wednesday, July 27.

 

His arrest follows a case review that was held at the Criminal Investigations Branch Headquarters on Tuesday, July 26. The review encompassed personnel from the Director of Public Prosecutions, the Independent Commission of Investigations and various police divisions.

 

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Fitz Bailey, the case review concluded that “there was adequate evidence to link Constable Noel Maitland to the disappearance of Ms. Donaldson.” He however pointed out that there is currently no evidence linking District Constable Kathy-Ann Smith to the disappearance.

 

The investigation is continuing and DCP Bailey says futher updates will be provided.
