SECURITY GUARD CHARGED FOLLOWING DISPUTE
The St Catherine North Police have charged a security guard with Assault Occasioning Grievous Bodily Harm and Unlawful Wounding following an incident on Hillcrest Avenue, Spanish Town, in the parish on Wednesday, August 26.
Charged is 24-year-old Krystal Wright of Wynters Pen, Spanish Town, St Catherine.
Reports from the Spanish Town Police indicate that at about 9:00 p.m., Wright and a woman had a dispute which escalated into an argument. During the altercation, Wright used a stone to hit the woman in her face. This resulted in the woman sustaining a broken tooth and wounds to her face. A report was made to the police, and Wright was arrested on Friday, August 28 and was thereafter charged.
She is set to appear before the St Catherine Parish Court on Tuesday, October 20.
