ST CATHERINE MAINTENANCE OFFICER SLAPPED WITH GUN-RELATED CHARGES
Forty-seven-year-old maintenance officer Sanjay Jones, otherwise called ‘Bushkash’, of Hansbury Road, Waterford, St. Catherine, has been charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Assault at Common Law, and Use of a Firearm to Commit a Felony in connection with an incident in his community on Sunday, April 26.
Reports from the Portmore Police indicate that at approximately 4:15 p.m., a dispute developed between Jones and a woman. It is alleged that Jones brandished a firearm, pointed it at the woman, and threatened to kill her.
The matter was later reported to the police. Following further investigations, Jones was taken into custody. He was subsequently charged after a question-and-answer session conducted in the presence of his attorney.
His court date is being finalised.
