St Mary Woman Charged With Grievous Bodily Harm After Attacking Man

ST MARY WOMAN CHARGED WITH ASSAULT OCCASIONING GRIEVOUS BODILY HARM AFTER ATTACKING MAN

Thirty-six-year-old Simone Simmonds, a helper of Hamilton Mountain, St. Mary, has been charged with Assault Occasioning Grievous Bodily Harm following an incident at Hamilton Mountain on Tuesday, July 28.

Reports from the Port Maria Police are that about 9:00 a.m., a man was at his home when he heard Simmonds in his backyard talking. The man went into his backyard and told Simmonds to leave his property. An argument ensued, during which Simmonds allegedly used a metallic object to strike the man on his right shoulder, causing the shoulder to become dislocated.

He was taken to the hospital by a relative, where he was treated and discharged.

Simmonds was subsequently arrested and charged after a statement was recorded.

Her court date is pending.
