Two Trelawny laborers were charged with House Breaking and Larceny and Sacrilege following an incident in Stettin in the parish between Thursday, January 11, and Friday, January 12.

Reports from the Ulster Spring police are that a woman securely locked up the building about 4 p.m. Thursday, January 11, and went home. She returned the following day and discovered that it had been broken into.

Further checks revealed that the culprits gained entry to the building and stole assorted electronics, kitchen utensils, and grocery items with an estimated value of JMD 300,000.

A report was made to the police, and an operation was carried out at their home on Sunday, January 14. Palmer was apprehended and taken into custody after the stolen items were found at the address. He was charged later that day.

Whyte turned himself in to the police the following day and was subsequently charged.

Their court dates are being finalised.
