The National Neighbourhood Watch Movement kicked off a week of events to celebrate their 35th anniversary on Saturday, November 5. The week began with the National Church Service at the Andrews Memorial Seventh Day Adventist Church on Hope Road in St. Andrew. In attendance were Commissioner of Police, Major General Antony Anderson, head of the Community Safety and Security Branch, ACP (Acting) Charmin Shand, along with several members of the CSSB, the JCF Choir and Chaplain Dr. Gary Buddoo-Fletcher. The day’s service was managed by the Pathfinders.
The week continues with a 5K Run/Walk at the Police Officers Club on Sunday, November 6, a concert headlined by the JCF Band in St. Elizabeth on Thursday, November 10 and culminates with a conference at the Kendal Conference Centre in Manchester on Saturday, November 12.
The week is being celebrated under the theme, ‘Neighbourhood Watch Movement…Re-igniting Our Nation Through Community Partnership’.
