‘Balla’ Charged with Murder

‘BALLA’ CHARGED WITH MURDER

Lawmen attached to the Trelawny Policing Division have charged 28-year-old Rio Rochester otherwise called ‘Balla’, a construction worker of Carter Hill, May Pen, Clarendon, with Murder, following an incident in the parish on Saturday April 16, 2022.

Dead is Rumish Johnson, otherwise called ‘Meisha’, a 21-year-old construction worker of Job Lane, Christiana, Manchester.

Reports from the Wait-a-Bit Police are that the now deceased was the driver of a motorcycle with Rochester as pillion. Upon reaching a section of the roadway, the now accused who was armed with a firearm, shot the deceased in the back.

It is reported that Rochester managed to somehow jump from the motorcycle unhurt as the motorcycle crashed.

The now deceased was assisted to the hospital by the police, where he was pronounced dead whilst undergoing treatment.

On Tuesday August 8, Rochester was arrested in Clarendon during a police operation and was subsequently charged for the offence.

His court date is being finalised.
