Nineteen-year-old Marlon Samuels of Flamstead Gardens, St. James was charged with Forcible Abduction, Attempted Rape and Sexual Touching of a Child following an incident which occurred in his community on Wednesday January 10.

Reports from the Montego Bay Police are that about 4:00 p.m., the minor was on her way from a nearby shop when she saw Samuels at a house. He reportedly told her to come over to the house but she refused and continued to walk. Samuels allegedly grabbed her by her hands, pulled her inside the house and locked the door, following which he assaulted her.

The minor bit Samuels on his hand and managed to escape. She reported the incident to her mother, who took her to the Centre of Investigation for Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA).

Samuels was subsequently arrested and later pointed out during an Identification Parade, which was held on Wednesday, January 24.

His court date is being arranged.
