Curfew Imposed In Whitfield Town, Kingston 13

A curfew has been imposed in Whitfield Town, Kingston 13 effective 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 13. The curfew will remain in effect until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 15.

The boundaries of the curfew are as follows:

  • NORTH – along Delacree Road (from Waltham Park Road &  Languard Avenue to Maxfield Avenue).
  • EAST- along Maxfield Avenue (from Delacree Road to Spanish Town Road).
  • SOUTH – along Spanish Town Road (from Maxfield Avenue to Waltham Park Road and Languard Avenue).
  • WEST- along Waltham Park Road and Languard Avenue (from Spanish Town Road to Delacree Road).

During the hours of the curfew, all persons within the boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless authorized in writing by the ground commander.

Police Seek Help To Identify Child Abuser

Detectives attached to the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a woman seen in two viral videos circulating on social media recently.

The woman known only as ‘Raquel’ was seen in the video assaulting a female believed to be a child. The Police are asking anyone with information that can assist in their investigation to contact the CISOCA at 876-926-4079, Police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.

St. Elizabeth Man Busted After More Than Two Years on the Run

A St. Elizabeth man who had been on the run for two years was one of two persons arrested by detectives assigned to the Area 3 Narcotics Police Division during a joint police/military operation at a guest house in Beacon district, St Elizabeth on Tuesday, July 13. 

The man, 54-year-old Lester Green, a farmer of Newell district in St. Elizabeth was reportedly found hiding in a room of the guest house during the operation. Over two years ago, Green allegedly committed several breaches of the DDA, and a warrant had been issued for his arrest. 

Also arrested in the early-morning operation was 38-year-old Tamara Robinson, a businesswoman of Beacon district, St. Elizabeth. Lawmen reportedly searched Robinson’s room at the guesthouse and found 24 parcels containing ganja. The drug weighs approximately 20 pounds and has an estimated street value of JMD 80,000.

Robinson was charged with Possession of Ganja and Dealing in Ganja.

She is scheduled to appear before the St. Elizabeth Parish Court on Monday, July 26 while Green is scheduled to appear before the court on Wednesday, July 14.
